Heading to Knoxville, where to ride?

Heading to Knoxville, where to ride?

Postby SteveK » Mon Jun 15, 2015 12:23 pm

I'm spending the 4th of July Holiday in "Big Orange" country. Never been there.

Any ideas as to where to bike? I'm taking my mountain bike but that will not limit me as to where to ride, Green lines, bike paths, and of course MTB trails.

Thanks for any information.

The urban wilderness trail looks cool. Part of it is caught up in the TWRA issue we talked about.

Have a great trip!

Maybe you could just hike a bike through the twra portion of the trail? I think only a small chunk of the 40 mile system is on their land.

When I lived in Knoxville, I rode at Haw Ridge all the time. http://www.outdoorknoxville.com/places/ ... ridge-park
It is out towards Oak Ridge, 20-30 minutes from downtown (depending on traffic).
