Whooho, the Binford 6100!! More power!!

I can't comment on the bar size needed since I have not seen the trees down.

Maybe Butch can give some info on that.

I'll bring both saws but do you think the bigger bar will be needed?

I've never owned a chainsaw. I've never operated on trees this big. Some are around 2 ft in diameter, but are nearby older cut logs of similar size. Bring both, leave a spare in the truck? The biggest tree is a double, and can be rerouted at the expense of a nice straight away... :( I'd prefer, and am going prepared to remove every trail blockage. Unfortunately, I think I have more ass than can be worked off in a day. Doesn't stop me from trying... 8)

What are the thoughts about staging a vehicle on Lakeview with some supplies? Water refill etc. Could be handy to escape if we are worn out when we get there. Remember last May? BTW, NWS is predicting 89 degrees Saturday.

That sounds like a good idea Brad.

It would be nice to have a “half way” beverage stop.
