Adam,

Do you have Terri's e-mail address? If so, could you send me a PM with her address?

Thanks,

Gonna be there.
Never done a work day - bring the bike or do we walk?
Not sure I can carry a chainsaw and ride........or chew gum and walk.

I always ride in and try to carry everything I need, machete, clippers, saw, whatever. So much easier than walking and you can cover so much more ground!
I spend all my money on bike parts and beer. The rest I just waste!

Thanks to everyone who showed up and helped out. Everyone there was a hard worker and we got a lot acccomplished. Creek crossing is drained and is riding really nice, blue trail is trimmed, face slappers removed and riding fast. Bridge relocated on yellow and boardwalk fixed, etc, etc, etc...... Get out and ride!

White still needs weedeating and a little more bridge work on the yellow and it will be perfect. I will cut the pit area closer to race weekend.

Thanks for your organization and implementation of the work day. It was a good turn out of hard workers and a great success. Met some new to me people and talked with some known acquaintances. I stopped a small group of known riders, and asked them where their tools are and they said they were "on them". They remarked that they could contribute monetarily and I told them that would be fine because we needed bridge building materials, etc. (holding breath). Now we just need another pre race work day and some more workers and we'll be set. Probably the biggest contribution would be the eventual weed eating of the rest of the trail. That's one labor timing job that can be done in steps by many different people at their convenience. Just wear long pants and protective eye wear. Thanks again Paul.

Yes, great turnout for the trail day. A big discussion item on the forum and at the work day was the condition of the bridges.

Some of the small bridges need to be upgraded or replaced. Some need to be longer because of erosion resulting in creek widening. Others need to be higher to provide for the water flow in the creeks they cross.

There is some time before the races to work on this. MSTA has $$ in the bank for materials. We have the IMBA plans that have worked so well at Herbs. Lets pick out the ones needing the most attention. Get out there with a tape measure and write up a material list. I live near a Lowe's and they accept an MSTA check. Then a trail day to do the upgrade.

What do we want to do?
