Herb May 13th

Postby SteveK » Wed May 09, 2012 5:46 am

Sunday "around" 8AM I will trim the ivy in the area around the new arch bridge. Also the down hill section of trail before the bridge needs some hand trimming.

Additionally I plan to "scout out" possible improved approaches to the arch bridge.

I will transport a section of curvet to the "mud bog" area (where the old Monterey Road comes out of the lake). That's for a future project to improve that section per land manager request.

If you can help hand trim or scout out the bridge area you are more than welcome to come on out Sunday moening. If 8AM is too early no problem, I'll bee working till at least noon so show up whenever.

The most interesting MTB says bring on snow flurries and -20 degree temps and I'll still have the trail groomed to perfection  Whats a little rain but something to cool me down.

Steve, today there were two trees down.......one small pine tree a group of us Journeymen picked up and moved out of the way, however the tree on the Homestead loop is going to need some finesse with a chainsaw. The rest of the trail was great aside from a few low hanging limbs.

I called Butch and cxx for today, light rain moving into area. Not a good idea to use a chainsaw in the rain.
