The Stanky races are coming up on us all fast! I would like to get a crew together to tackle some stuuf out there. I'm sure Larry or Victor will have a day as well but I would like to get a jump on some things as there is always something more to do after the first good work day. We need to figure out what to do with the creek. I shoveled down stream a good bit today so hopefully that will help but I'm afraid it might not drain still. There is about a 2' deep and 4' wide section that merges into a 1' wide and 1''deep section. I dug it out a bit but it's still about a foot higher than the 2'deep section. So,unless it drains all the water past the creek and then fills up the deep spot,we are going to have to do something else there. If more digging is the answer then we will need a few guys to dig it out a bit. As Larry D. stated today,You can only dig so deep before you hit a hard clay bottom and it's still way shallower than the deep ''pond'' that has formed just to the right of the crossing. Hopefully I'm wrong and a few hours of work is all that is needed. I also would like to finish the berm on the blue uphill section that's just past the blue jump. This is a 1-2hr project for 2 guys. Then I have built a boardwalk to connect the other sections of boardwalks on the back of the yellow. This will take 3-4 guys about 3hrs. If we had a good turnout we could easily do this in a day. If Sunday will not work for everyone and an other day seems to be better for everyone then I will change the Title to this post to fit what fits everyone schedules best. Let me know hwat you guys think.
And Noobies- This would be a great way to meet some of the other guys here and to see what goes into trail care!Anyone is welcome and wanted! Hope to see everyone out there
