There is a large tree down in the yellow trail a little east of 5-Points. We are planning to meet at the paved bridge connector path south of the Farm Rd. intersection on Saturday at 9:00 to go clean it up.

At this time this is the only reported tree down. If anyone knows of more please post.

Shelby Farms Park management is aware of this MSTA activity and sent its thanks.

I may be able to make it on Sat. morning. In case not, after cutting the big tree, I suggest that you exit via the Yellow toward the levee. There are a couple of small trees either across or next to the trail that could be cut. Also, there's one corner where a tree recently fell that could be cleared better--to improve flow. This is after 5-points on Yellow but before the main tree to be cut.

Will try to make it...

Thanks to Rich, Steve, and Goochy (although Goochy took the scenic route) for the help cleaning up a section of the yellow trail. We worked between the bike bridge and levee 1. Several fallen trees were cleared, several overhanging snags were cleared, and some blind curves were improved. Some pictures are coming.
