WRT cleanup day May 21

Anyone out there...

As some may have noticed, I started clearing the WRTs Yellow trail north of Walnut Grove and would like to continue this work this weekend Saturday, May 21. I usually start at ~7:30 am and work for 3-4 hours.

Help needed: weed wacking, cutting privet, chain sawing large privet/small trees and dead fall. Throwing privet into the river!

With a small crew of helpers, the Yellow could be cleared to the 3-plank bridge this weekend and maybe some could clear the Blue between Walnut Grove and the Greenline.

I park at the Walnut Grove overpass at the Yellow/Blue trailhead.

More of the Yellow north of Walnut Grove is clear now but it will take a few more sessions to reach the 3-plank bridge. Big thanks to Angela, who helped on Saturday.

Also, Brad cleared the powerline crossings on the Yellow and Blue trails with his new power mower. Quite a heroic effort considering its probably 5 miles of walking, in total.

Thanks to the couple of you regulars that are doing the brunt of the work. It's been a while since i have volunteered to help, but i can only do saturdays in the winter time, and even that might be tough. I only have sundays to help. If you do sunday morning trail cleanup at the wrt, i'll be there.

I have not been riding the wrt system as much lately, but it always seems in good shape when i do. Big thanks to you guys.

Also, i need to do a better job checking in here. This board has been so quiet, i have forgotten to check it for weeks or months at a time.

Are you available an early morning this weekend for trailwork? Sat or Sun, 7:30 am start? I may try to get a few others to work on the Blue/Yellow from WG toward Gtwn.
