WRT Trail work day moved to Saturday July 8

Meetup 7:30
Head out to work areas by 8:00
Beverages and maybe some food back at the meetup site at 12:00.

Bring your bug spray and sunscreen. We have been trying to get the weather and our calendars to align for a couple months now. Several spots need major reroute work and the majority could use some trimming. We will figure out what we are attacking first when we see how many volunteers we have. Concentrating between Germantown Parkway and Walnut Grove unless we have a large number of volunteers.

The strawberry patch is shut down so Agricenter may start locking the vehicle gates again. If they do, the west vehicle gate does not open on Saturday or Sunday. The east vehicle gate opens on Saturday at 7:45.

Some additional information:

Outdoors Inc. has had to move their Niner Demo to Saturday June 24th right after the workday. The Demo will start at 12:00 and be located under the Walnut Grove bridge. They are talking about maybe some special swag from Niner for those that come out to help with the workday. Stay tuned for more details.

Weather update.

MSTA is trying to replace the trail day that was rained out in April. We scheduled June 24 to get to work. Unfortunately, Mother Nature is messing with us again. There is the possibility of a cold front and a tropical system meeting in our area. That could bring lots of rain before and on the weekend. If the weather goes down hill, the rain date is set as July 8. We are closely watching the weather conditions.

Weather Update

Due to the coming rain and expected poor trail conditions we are moving the work day out to July 8th.

Outdoors Inc has also canceled the Niner demo scheduled for after the work day.
